GENEVA - Deprivation forced by food could have made the thousands of dead in zones besieged with Syria, declared on Monday the Top - Commissioner of the UNO in human rights, Zeid Ra' ad Al Hussein.

The co-ordinator of the humanitarian business of the UNO in Syria, Yacoub el-Hillo, announced on Sunday evening «help delivery from Monday and in next days in the rebel city of Mouadamiyat al-Cham», in the suburbs of Damascus, besieged by governmental force.
In total, the UNO plans, besides ongoing operations, «to deliver in five next days assistant for about 154 000 persons living in localities besieged with Syria», he added.
The United Nations wait for the green light of parts in conflict «to help 1,7 about million persons located in zones difficult of access», he specified.
«Health evacuations must be unconditional», has still declared Mr Hillo. «The UNO calls all parts to assure an unconditional, free and regular access to the totality of about 4,6 million persons thinking in localities it is difficult of access or besieges in all Syria».
The World Health Organisation (WHO) claimed for his/her part on Monday the access to these zones to route the health care.
«However, a lot of requests are not approved by the Syrian authorities», underlined Elizabeth Hoff, representative of the WHO in Syria. «In 2015, the WHO submitted 102 petitions: 30 were approved and 72 stayed without answer», she revealed.
